Chris Moser Announces Campaign for Regional Councillor of Waterloo

WATERLOO, ON — September 1, 2026 — Local entrepreneur and community leader Chris Moser has officially announced his campaign for Regional Councillor of Waterloo, bringing more than four decades of business experience and a lifelong commitment to the Waterloo Region community to the campaign.

Born and raised in Waterloo, Moser comes from a long line of local residents whose roots in the Region date back to the 1800s. More than 40 years ago, he started his landscaping business in Waterloo and has since built a successful local enterprise while developing strong relationships throughout the business and broader community.

Now, Moser says the time has come to bring his practical, results-oriented approach to public service.

“For more than 40 years, I've had the privilege of building a business, creating relationships and contributing to the community I call home. I've learned that success comes from making smart decisions, managing resources responsibly, listening to people and following through on commitments. I believe those same principles belong at the heart of local government. Community involvement has been central to Moser's life and career. He is a dedicated member and supporter of organizations and initiatives across Waterloo Region, including the White Hackle Council for the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada, Hospice Waterloo Region, Food4Kids Waterloo Region, the Kitchener Rangers, local sports leagues and grassroots community organizations.

Moser's decision to enter the campaign comes from growing concern about the direction of local government, including increasing costs, infrastructure challenges, resource management and accountability.

Moser's campaign will focus on three core principles: Smart Decisions. Sound Finances. Better Government.

He is inviting residents, business owners, community leaders and neighbours from across Waterloo Region to join the conversation and help shape a practical plan for the Region's future.
